Seeking an intermediate level Project Controls Specialist with excellent analytical skills to join our team in a direct hire capacity. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls.

Job Description

  • Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
  • Actively participates in recording actual and committed cost and work hours, development of project variances, trending and analysis of commitments and expenditures and development of the project forecast and cash flow.
  • Actively participates in the administration of the change control process. Actively participates in development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling.
  • Actively participates in coordination with procurement and material mangers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential items of supply.
  • Actively participates in identification of priorities for projects to guarantee completion.
  • Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by actively participating in schedule analysis.

Skills & Education

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills.
  • Solid experience with COBRA.
  • Experience in data integration and office automation.
  • Ability to create various templates in Excel using advanced formulas.
  • Ability to create and improve cost procedures by automating processes and methods.
  • Proficient in VBA Programming, Excel Macros and MS Access database development, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Undergraduate degree required, (Accounting, Finance, or other Technical Degree preferred).
  • 2+ years related experience required.
