Senior Program Analyst

Role and Responsibilities

This position supports tasking for the F/A-18 Program Office's Weapon System Integration Team at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) in Lexington Park, MD.

The successful candidate will research, analyze and track weapons programs throughout their acquisition life cycle; monitor critical events such as program schedule, milestones, technical performance, funding, and documentation; evaluate system performance and program tasks for applicability to operational requirements; assist program managers with developing, reviewing and processing Statements of Work, Procurement Initial Documents, Contract Data Requirements Lists, Flight Clearances, and other program documentation; participate and/or facilitate program meetings to include Program Management Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, Flight Certification Reviews, Engineering Data Requirements Agreement Plan (EDRAP) and Integrated Program Team Meetings.


Bachelors Degree in engineering, science, business administration or equivalent experience. Six (6) years’ experience in related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.

At least five (5) years' experience in program management, technical, or business analysis discipline, as specified in the DOD 5000 series is required.

Preferred Skills

Preferred candidate should be able to demonstrate familiarity with advanced functions in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. Ability to structure and monitor a program schedule using MS Project is highly desirable. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Additional Notes

Prior military aviation background (USN/USMC) with experience on F/A-18 and/or EA-18G aircraft weapon systems; or Civilian exposure to the NAVAIR command structure in lieu of military experience is desired.
