Title:

DOTS: Heavy Truck Driver (SCA)Responsible for operator level PMCS on all maintenance significant items and operating wheeled vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways in support of LBE and PDTE operations. The ESOS prepares vehicles for movement/shipment, oversees and checks proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers, secures cargo (including BII / COEI, if present) against inclement weather, pilferage and damage and operates vehicle component material handling equipment (MHE), as required for LBE and PDTE storage and inventory support. The EOSS will perform vehicle self-recovery and field expedients to include towing vehicles. The EOSS will possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) prior to hiring. Under general supervision the ESOS (Heavy) operates material handling equipment and military vehicles with a GVWR greater than 26,000lbs in accordance with military requirements, safety restrictions and guidelines as required. Performs a variety of minor repairs to include replacing parts as directed. Washes, cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles, drains, flushes, and replaces fluids. Cleans/replaces oil and air filters as directed. Performs PMCS, inspects, tests, and operates vehicles to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation, checks and replaces batteries, places and maintains decals on vehicles, prepares equipment for storage and transportation. Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations, operates, cleans, This worker updates paper and electronic equipment records and practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times. Receives, stores, issues, and assists in the inventory of equipment and/or materials. Assists in the inspection of equipment for completeness, serviceability, and accountability, receives and verifies part numbers, general quantity or condition, and labeling of items. Assist in processing various stock/supply actions such as audits and inventory. Wraps, covers, boxes, crates, and/or marks all material received for storage. Places materials to be stored in appropriate location ensuring storage site meets weight capacity, space, and security requirements. Moves materials from receiving area to storage/issue area. Fills requisitions/requests for materials from stock and prepares for issue. WORK LOCATION: 10379 8th Division Road, BLDG 5310 ,room 114, Fort Benning, GA 31905
