Title:

E2/C2 Electrical Systems Engineering Technical Professional

Role and Responsibilities:

This full time position is located at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) in San Diego and supports the E-2, C-2, and multi-platform aircraft at the E2C2MP Fleet Support Team (FST). Experienced and familiar with E-2 & C-2 OEM and NAVAIR tech data, drawings, publications, formal changes, bulletins, engineering documentation, etc. and drafting capabilities a plus. Specific avionics engineering and logistics support:

Prepare applicable ECPs, TDs, and IDPs if required for proposed modifications/upgrades of aircraft systems. Provide engineering and technical expertise for the design, development, test, evaluation and logistics for the procurement, production, maintenance, modification and related efforts for aircraft support by the E2C2MPT FST. Review and analyze aircraft weapon system designs provided as Government Furnished Information (GFI) to establish compliance with mission and other specified requirements. Evaluate new technologies for application in improving system designs. Analyses to identify potential impacts on performance, reliability, maintainability, user interface, logistics, schedule, and cost. Plan, coordinate and evaluate testing of systems; performing risk assessment and generating risk mitigation plans. Solve a range of problems utilizing analysis of possible solutions using standard procedures. Demonstrate aircraft modification/integration installation effectiveness on the E-2, C-2, and MPT aircraft by monitoring and analyzing any prototype, validation, or verification installation procedures and practices. Perform engineering and logistics tasks to improve maintenance readiness. Complete TMSDRs that are both text and illustrations. Develop specifications, instructions, and drawings as necessary for the E2C2MP FST to implement new designs for individual components and integration of systems to be fielded on USN and FMS aircraft.

Education:

High School diploma or GED; Technical training in a "Relevant Technical Discipline". A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and two (2) to four (4) years of related experience preferred.

Experience:

At least fifteen (15) years in a "Relevant Technical Discipline". Minimum of 10 years Naval Aviation Maintenance experience desired. Familiarity with USN programs and NAVAIR data source applications, and CNAF 4790 is required. Advanced Microsoft product experience is preferred.

Additional requirements:

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Clearance must be obtained by hiring date.

Some travel will be required.
