Position is contingent upon receipt of NTP (Notice to Proceed).
Serves as the operational planner between KBR’s planning team and the USG; integrating LOGCAP contingency support plans, exercises, and operations. Guides the team in support of the military decision making process and production of Technical Exhibits and other deliverables to the Operations Plan. Develops basing solutions; conducts overall risk assessments. Performs location reconnaissance when permitted. Develops contractor aviation support as needed. Participates in designated exercises to validate planning decisions.
Planner applies their knowledge of command organization and logistical objectives, general staff functions, relationships and procedures in the planning and coordinating for all LOGCAP logistical actions in support of the development and execution of intricate and complex requirements. Planner will provide advice and assistance to Combatant Command (COCOM) staff and/or tenant commands in logistic matters pertaining to exercise plans, strategies and logistical readiness matters. Assists the USG with coordinating day to day activities and exercises. Prepares and coordinates documents and information papers and presents briefings on current logistics support of exercises in the theater of operations. Attends meetings, conferences, and planning groups. Receive, coordinate, and respond to a variety of logistic oriented requirements. May require some travel for CONUS and OCONUS locations. Must possess or be capable of obtaining a SECRET clearance.
