Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer Develop Simulation Tools that Directly Support the Warfighter! ABOUT THIS POSITION Join a diverse team of talented and inspired engineers and analysts to develop new US Army Air and Missile Defense programs in Huntsville, Alabama. To keep pace with emerging technologies and to ensure the Warfighter remains capable against modern threats, the Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer position provides technical support for all phases of Modeling and Simulation assessment and component development through exploration of new operating procedures or methods associated with simulation environments and real world systems. The candidate will conduct independent technical analyses, evaluation, and assessment of weapon system Modeling and Simulation and associated Ballistic Missile Defense System and Army Air and Missile Defense requirements, verification, and testing. The candidate will support Modeling and Simulation technical interchange meetings, program reviews, integration and test working groups. Some travel for meetings and test events will be required.Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Bachelor's of Science in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Modeling and Simulation design, development, integration, and test experience, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and/or launch systems at the component through system level
  • Possess an understanding of requirements management and analysis functions, including crosswalks and traceability between Modeling and Simulation and missile defense weapon systems
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of program planning and execution, systems engineering, design processes, weapon system integration, performance assessment, and quality systems
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our Government customers
  • Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge with large Air and Missile Defense weapons system Modeling and Simulation and associated Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) requirements, verification, and testing
