Air Defense Simulation Technician

The Simulation Technician will perform duties related to Modeling and Simulation in support of exercises and training for the U.S. Military and ensure the stable operation of the simulation networks. This individual will plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems, simulation systems and operations systems in support of core organizational training functions. Additionally, the Technician will assist with the support the operation of various simulation computer networks. The position includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing all hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring maximum availability in the simulation and training environment. The Technician will also diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Technician must be capable of learning new systems as they progress through the evolution of training devices. This includes but is not limited to simulation drivers that are currently in use in the current training environment. The Technician will provide support for the Reconfigurable Table Top Trainer (RT3) and Flight Mission Simulator Digital (FMSD) systems in the capacity as a system administrator, operator and simulation supported event integrator. This position requires an ability to interface with the government customers and provide basic direction for co-workers. The Applicant MUST be a US Citizen and be able to Travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of training support events. The Applicant must have a Secret Security Clearance.

BS/BA Degree and 4+ years of experience in Air and Missile Defense required.

Experience with Windows OS, Solaris/UNIX OS, Networking, Military Experience, Reconfigurable Table Top Trainer (RT3) are all desired.

Requires an active Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
