Job Summary
 
The Maintenance Control Specialist is responsible for managing the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to include preventative maintenance (PM) tasks.
 
Principal Accountabilities
  • Implements and manages PM systems for all equipment maintenance in the system of record
  • Processes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities (PMs, CMs, inspections)
  • Maintains equipment maintenance files
  • Procures parts, materials and supplies required
  • Enters, tracks and reconciles purchase requisitions
  • Prepares necessary shipping and transportation forms for purchase and repair & return requisitions
  • Receives incoming parts and notifies recipients of arrival
  • Manages tool room to include tool issues, receipts, tool inventories, and records
  • Ensures tool calibrations remain current
  • Controls stocking of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory
  • Maintains inspection and certification records
  • Maintains all regulatory publications and technical publications and bulletins
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Thorough knowledge on the proper use of PPE as required by the assigned tasks
  • Work with little supervision and display mature judgment
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Experience & Education

  • Two (2) years’ prior experience performing similar duties
  • Maintenance system experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
