JOB TITLE: Systems Support Manager L3, Senior

Primary Location:  Colorado Springs, CO

Responsibilities: ManTech is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Systems Support Manager. The work is high profile and critical to our nations’ security.  The Systems Support Manager supervises support staff; oversees computer system and software maintenance and repair; assists with complex Windows, Linux, AIX and other infrastructure that supports a highly available critical mission for a federal customer.  The position performs a critical role in understanding the clients’ strategic and programmatic needs, proposing effective solutions to problems, and consistently providing high-level customer service. The position will be part of Program leadership and will regularly interface with client leadership and ManTech senior leadership.  Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Plans maintenance activities for all operating systems and relevant infrastructure.
  • Organizes support, troubleshooting, and repair for relevant infrastructure environment.
  • Establishes relationships with technology and component vendors
  • Oversees support staff, including education and training.
  • Develops and maintains emergency plans to address equipment, power failure to ensure preservation of technology and data
  • Has a thorough understanding of available technology and researches to learn about innovative solutions and new releases
  • Ensures operational coverage for a 24x7, 365 days a year federal mission.
  • Align standards and frameworks with overall business and technology strategy
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging technology concepts
  • Work to develop strategic plans for architecture, engineering and integration.
  • Provide reporting and feedback to senior management as required
  • Design, implement and maintain procedures relating to service catalog and/or service level management activities
  • Assist in rectifying issues and improving service in faltering/failing projects

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of systems support with federal government clients including use of agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum)
  • Experience in establishing and negotiating service level agreements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience deploying technical solutions into enterprises
  • Demonstrated expertise in security policy and implementation.
  • Strong experience in ensuring customer satisfaction, problem resolution, and risk management.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT, engineering, or science discipline and/or 10+ years of experience in an IT Project or Program Management role.
  • Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, SAFe Agilist or SAFe for Government Certification a plus

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Active or recent (within the last 2 years) DHS EOD or DHS/DOD Secret clearance.
