Job Summary

Engineer serves as technical authority responsible for implementation and documentation of complex tasks along with operations and maintenance responsibilities for new and legacy systems configuration management.

Performs in a technical role supporting and operational watch floor. Participated in the design, development and testing of specialized and diverse RF and Communications equipment and systems.

Interfaces with internal and external customers at all levels including presentations, group meetings, and engineering tech development and development of requirements and project implementation.

Verifies designs prior to implementation, and complies with engineering documentation and configuration management standards and test procedures. Coordinates and works closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements, and develop and deploy engineering products.

Determines test objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements, writes test plans, schedules program activities, tracks funding and expenditures, plans and conducts test missions, analyzes resultant data, and documents results with test reports, statistical evaluations, and briefing presentations.

Conducts site visits and experimental investigations, analyzes engineering problems, proposes solutions and alternatives, and provides recommendations. Maintains technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advises management of progress in support of the technical and administrative direction of project operations.

Supports the Configuration Management (CM) program to include the evaluation and monitoring of all modifications to communications equipment, systems or facilities, the generation of Engineering Change Requests to improve interoperability, reliability, maintainability, and ensures adherence to applicable CM standards.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university

Three years’ applicable experience in Communications and RF design, test, and integration of microwave/UHF/VHF radio communication systems in applications including high-speed wide-band data, voice, and radio transmissions.

Experienced and knowledgeable in the areas of antennas and transmission theory, component and systems design, project engineering, systems integration, configuration management, documentation, and technical writing.

Must possess Security + certification

Must be a U.S. citizen

Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.

Must possess and maintain an active DoD security clearance
