AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Archaeological Technician for employment in the San Diego, CA office. Field work will be performed throughout San Diego, San Bernardino, and Imperial Counties in California. Some local travel may be required.
This is a part-time, on-call position.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Prepares technical documents and sections of planning documents
Conducts field work as assigned as part of a project
Processes and conducts analysis of historic and/or prehistoric artifacts
Conducts archival research
Assists in report preparation
Assists in developing presentations for clients
Performs routine fieldwork as a trainee (such as environmental sampling, assisting with calculations, and operations, maintenance and inspection of equipment of client site), working under close supervision.
Performs routine tasks in support of project staff and handles less complex duties.
Entry-level position; may not require previous experience
High School Diploma
Valid U.S. Driver's License
Ability to perform archaeology related field tasks as needed, without restrictions.
Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology
Prior field experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
