Job Summary

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Municipal Designer/CAD Technologist to join our Albuquerque, NM office location immediately. This is a great opportunity for individuals who like to collaboratively deliver successful projects and who have potential ambitions to grow their career beyond strictly design-based duties.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops working drawings and details under guidance of Engineers, from conceptual and detailed sketches, requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques to produce quality drawings.

Quantity take-off calculations

Occasional site inspection and field assignments

Works collaboratively in a team environment with other CAD Technicians and Engineers on multiple projects.

Assumes responsibility and meets or exceeds deliverable deadlines for own portion of the within budgeted time.

Ability to coordinate drawings across structural, architectural, and civil disciplines.


Minimum Requirements

HS/GED + 4 YORE or AA/AS (US) + 2 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 2 YORE

Preferred Qualifications

8 years of professional work experience in design production of municipal projects

Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM packages.

Associates degree or certification in CADD .

Experienced in Microstation and BIM platforms
