AECOM is seeking a talented Mid-Level Transportation Planner located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The responsibilities include leading and working on various transportation and transit projects throughout North Carolina.
Manages complex planning studies, development applications and reviews.
Reviews and processes complex comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, annexations, site plans, and plats.
Conducts research and prepares statistical reports on land use, physical, social and economic issues.
Provides professional planning assistance to member communities on varied land use and transportation projects.
Develops plans, studies, and analyses on a regional basis.
Works in regional program areas relating to transportation planning
Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the development review process and/or to verify that development projects comply with approved plans
Conducts meetings and presents reports and other findings to staff with advisory boards and elected officials.
United States of America - North Carolina, Raleigh
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or planning with studies in civil engineering, transportation planning, environmental planning or related field
Minimum of 4 plus years’ experience in planning and or planning-related field
Proficient in Excel, and MSWord
Experience in project management of transportation engineering and planning task management, coordination and/or oversight.
Preparation of and usage of project management tools such as scopes of service, budgets, and schedules.
Experienced professional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Successful management of at least one Environmental Impact Statements and/or Multiple Environmental Assessments/Categorical Exclusions compliant with the National Environmental Policy Act NEPA.
Knowledge of Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) NEPA compliance and procedures as
Have one or more of the following certifications: Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
