Job Summary

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties to include: load, off-load inventory, store and retrieve property. Maintain property, tools, and equipment. Position will perform truck driver duties as requested by transporting materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as: manufacturing plants, freight depots, warehouses, wholesale and retail establishments, or between retail establishments and customers’ houses or places of business. May be required to drive small to medium trucks for program needs including possible overnight stays.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inventory, evaluation of general property

  • Operate company vehicles and material handling equipment

  • Select storage location and record selected location on inventory worksheets

  • Forward appropriate paperwork to supervisor for review

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities to include government furnished property and equipment

  • Assist in remitting, transferring, and releasing property

  • Support sales activities.

  • Pick up, transport and deliver parts, material, equipment and components to pre-determined destinations.

  • Assist with loading and unloading of material being transported.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting up to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/or organizing skills, and musts be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident

  2. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required or equivalent training or experience

  3. Six to twelve months job related experience and/or training is required.

  4. Must have a valid driver's license.

  5. Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.

  6. Perform driving duties as requested.

  7. Position may require travel.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
