Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Landscape and Urban Designer for employment in the Orlando, FL office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

?

  • Assisting in the preparation of technical drawings for conceptual design or construction documents

?

  • Preparing illustrative digital design graphics including plan, section, elevation, or three-dimensional representations

?

  • Preparing hand-drawn design concepts

?

  • Preparing basic design calculations

?

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.

?

  • Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.

?

  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.

?

  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.

?

  • Under the direction of the Supervising Landscape Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.

?

  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

?

  • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned landscape architectural and design/drafting personnel.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design required,

Masters degree in either major preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp (or other three-dimensional modeling software) required. Candidates with Revit or Land FX experience preferred.
