Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to support projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Candidate's will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Collect environmental and facility asset data in the field and support environmental cost estimating process for Navy / DoD Client.

  • Perform data management functions including loading of environmental and other technical data to EQuIS or other state and federal environmental information management systems.

  • Work with Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access database systems, EQuIS tools and other web-based interfaces associated with technical data.

  • Build database SQL queries, reports, and perform light database testing and programming tasks.

  • Assist in development, analysis, and presentation of technical data including preparation of data deliverables in tabular, and report/presentation format.

  • Transcribe, organize, and enter/load data based on paper and electronic source materials with input and technical direction from chemists, engineers, scientists and other project personnel.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts with 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

Ability to perform field work and data collection, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with personal computers, MS Office Suite software products (e.g., Word, Excel, and/or Access), windows computer operating system/applications, and web-based tools and interfaces.

  • Ability to perform complex data entry, statistical analysis, and management tasks in a web-based and desktop environment.

  • Experience with environmental, electronic data deliverables formats (e.g. EQuIS, NEDD, GeoTracker, etc.) and related data loading tools.

  • Experience with database applications (Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access) and ability to populate data tables, and build and execute SQL queries and scripts.

  • MS Access Programming and Database Report Writing (e.g. Report Writer, Crystal Reports) experience.

  • Experience with DoD and/or Federal government financial reporting requirements and systems (annual and quarterly financial statements, disclosures, gap analysis)

  • Minimum five (5) years data management experience with technical data involving engineering, scientific, financial, cost estimating, environmental, analytical chemistry, or equivalent disciplines.

  • Under AECOM supervision, ability to work with DoD clients and have interaction with client’s personnel.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with external and internal clients, and excellent problem solving abilities.
