Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION : Calibrate and repair electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and RF and Microwave measuring and test equipment.


Essential/Typical Duties:

  1. Follow documented procedures to calibrate and adjust electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and RF and Microwave measuring and test equipment.

  2. Assist in developing and validating new measurement methods, calibration procedures, and measurement uncertainty budgets.

Non-Essential Duties:

  1. Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Experience and Education

  1. Requires completion of the US DOD PMEL or equivalent. The following may be substituted for DOD PMEL training.
  • Other relevant DOD technical training and five (5) years of experience in calibration

  • A two (2) year technical college or university program in science technology, or math and five (5) years of experience in calibration

  • Ten (10) years of experience working in a calibration laboratory in the physical, mechanical, and dimensional disciplines.

  1. Five (5) or more years of experience in in-situ calibration in an

aerospace environment is highly desirable.

Applicants must provide proof of education, training, and experience.

Basic Requirements

  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  2. Must be eligible for, or have successfully completed a National Agency Check Investigation within the last ten (10) years.

  3. Employability in the U.S. and pre-employment drug screen required.

  4. Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

  5. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  6. Ability to use a personal computer in the performance of automated calibration processes and for workload management and tracking as required.
