Title:

Operations Manager

Directs and coordinates personnel and tasking on nationwide maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) for a US Federal Government customer, including routine preventive maintenance and corrective ‘trouble ticket’ maintenance. ESS will primarily include Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance / CCTV, and Automated Vehicle Barrier systems. Duties may include support of new ESS installations at customer locations and integration of new equipment or system components into the program equipment inventory for maintenance. Provides leadership and guidance to maintenance technicians and coordinates with the Program Manager and Region Leads to ensure program requirements and prioritization is effectively incorporated into personnel tasking. Develops plan and schedule for completing all preventive maintenance tasks on time, and tracks corrective maintenance ticket status to closure within established contract response and repair timeframes. Coordinates with customer stakeholders as required for technician site access, notification of upcoming work activities, and customer satisfaction. Understands safety requirements for all task areas and instills attention to compliance as a top priority.

Maintains close liaison with technical and support personnel. Coordinates normal operational and administrative activities. Recommends improvements in the operations processes. Provides work assignments and schedules. Ensures plans, policies, and procedures are implemented and followed. Ensures personnel have appropriate training. Provides direction and discipline to employees and is responsible for the evaluation of personnel performance and salary actions. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in a related field with 5 years of experience on a large scale ESS maintenance and/or installation contract in a managerial or supervisory capacity. In lieu of formal education, 13 years of experience. Experience scheduling and managing personnel tasking (including subcontractors) across a wide geographic footprint required. Experience performing and/or managing technical installation or corrective maintenance/troubleshooting of a variety of ESS head ends, devices/sensors, communications infrastructure, and power infrastructure in the field is a plus.
