Job Summary
AECOM is actively hiring a Transportation Planner Senior Project Manager for FDOT and local government PD&Es and similar studies. The position may reside in any of the AECOM Florida offices such as Tampa, Orlando, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Tallahassee.
Responsibilities include:
Identification/pursuit/booking of opportunities statewide
Managing PD&Es and similar studies
Providing senior technical leadership on project teams
Assist in strategic planning and team development.
Client relationships
May be responsible for some or all tasks listed below:
As an individual consultant, is a recognized leader and authority in a broad area of specialization or in a narrow but intensely specialized field.
As a staff specialist, serves as a technical specialist for inside and outside individual's office.
Is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on an individual's technical interpretations and advice.
Reports events and activities to senior management and elected and appointed officials.
Represents the organization on regional/local boards.
Implements General Plan or other planning projects.
Evaluates planning-related legislation and applicability to department projects.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS in planning, engineering or related field.
10 plus years of experience or demonstrated the equivalency of experience and education or knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
MS in a related field
AICP or Florida PE (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
