Principal Systems Engineer

The Principle Systems Engineer will be responsible for refining and documenting the C2BMC Battle Management algorithm architecture in conjunction with other senior algorithm engineers. You will also participate in developing and documenting complex algorithms in one or both of the following areas: battle management; sensor resource management.



Requirements:

  • Understanding of systems and software engineering process and principles. In particular, knowledge of software architecture in relation to algorithms is required
  • Possess knowledge of MATLAB and its use in prototyping
  • Ability and experience developing in JAVA is strongly desired
  • Skills generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of the desired capabilities

Education and Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science, Engineering or related discipline. Plus a minimum of 8 years of experience
  • Experience working in the missile defense domain including operational and technical issues associated with specific areas of the missile defense domain such as engagement management, track management, sensor management, etc.
  • Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
  • Understanding of complex systems
  • Experience with BMDS systems is highly desired

Desired:
  • Sensor resource management; battle management. Agile development methodology experience strongly desired.
