Project Controls Cost & Schedule Analyst is responsible for applying sound judgment and experience to the project controls function on a project toward the accomplishment of project-defined goals and objectives. Project Controls provides the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the organization.
Must be a US citizen
4+ years' experience in area of Project Controls cost and scheduling.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications with an emphasis on Excel, Cost Point; Prism; Primavera P6; and Microsoft Project.
Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Pursuit of the CCC (Certified Cost Consultant), CCE (Certified Cost Engineer), PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), or EVP (Earned Value Professional) certification is encouraged.
Experience in working on government contracts is a plus.
Understands Earned Value Management and maintains EVMS system compliance.
Support Integrated Baseline Reviews between contractor and customer.
Support periodic internal and external EVMS audits.
Prepare and Issue Cost Performance Reports Formats 1-5.
Participate in EVMS training of Control Account Managers.
Support Control Account Managers as required with reports, graphs, and variance reporting.
Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting. Is a Contributor in the preparation of the monthly management status report.
Participates in the development of project proposals and schedules.
Participates in the monthly production of revised project cost forecasting.
Reviews performance trends, prepares analysis and cost impacts.
Evaluates manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements in relation to budgeted staffing, hours, and cost.
Participates in development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and creation of WBS index and SOW crosswalk.
Able to identify and oversee analysis of project schedule variances and recommend associated correction actions.
Capable of developing CPM schedule logic, resource loading of schedule, and perform schedule risk analysis.
