Program Manager

Role and Responsibilities

KBR seeking an Program Manager to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting the readiness and sustainment of Common Avionics of multiple major USAF weapons systems.

The Program Manager will provide support to one or more areas of the supply chain management of common avionics and other support equipment. In addition, the Program Manager will work with subcontractors on reverse engineering sustainment and product development projects. This position will perform all aspects of project management of a complex prototyping design, development and test program. The Program Manager will effectively manage the statement of work with our subcontractor(s), EM to insure all deliverables are successfully developed and delivered. The project manager will be the primary interface with the Government and our subcontractor.

This work provides capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and test programs. Position will be located at or near Robins AFB, Georgia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited Engineering School and 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Skills

The ideal candidate will possess and/or demonstrate:

  • A BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Successful past performance in managing complex USAF weapons system avionics engineering projects
  • Proficiency with MS Project and building and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management
  • Experience in leading Integrated Product Teams
  • Experience with the ICBM Minuteman III Weapon System
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solid history of leadership positions
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Project Management Professional PMI Certification

  • This position will require moderate travel to our subcontractor’s facilities.
