AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented O&M Technician for immediate employment in the Orlando office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.
May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.
Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
Collects and enters data, and applies technical principles and theories under supervision.
2 years of O&M experience or related
Strong mechanical background
5+ years of professional experience
Ability to work in field for extended periods of time in challenging weather/field conditions
Ability to travel and work remotely as required
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Self-motivated, able to follow through with challenging field and office assignments
Experience with pneumatic and electric submersible pumps, electric control panels, and conveyance piping
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective organizational skills; time management skills; flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse project tasks
An eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges
Ability to manage subcontractors
Ability to work well in a project team and a fast paced environment
Attention to detail on field notes and data quality
Excellent attention to Health and Safety
HAZWOPER 40 Training
Experience with Industrial and Oil & Gas a plus
Experience working on active industrial and petroleum facilities preferred
Experience working with and maintaining groundwater and soil vapor remediation systems preferred
Any experience operating heavy machinery (forklift, excavator, skid steer, etc.) desirable
Metal fabrication skills desirable
