Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented O&M Technician for immediate employment in the Orlando office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.

  • May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.

  • Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.

  • Collects and enters data, and applies technical principles and theories under supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School degree + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of O&M experience or related

  • Strong mechanical background

  • 5+ years of professional experience

  • Ability to work in field for extended periods of time in challenging weather/field conditions

  • Ability to travel and work remotely as required

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude

  • Self-motivated, able to follow through with challenging field and office assignments

  • Experience with pneumatic and electric submersible pumps, electric control panels, and conveyance piping

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective organizational skills; time management skills; flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse project tasks

  • An eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges

  • Ability to manage subcontractors

  • Ability to work well in a project team and a fast paced environment

  • Attention to detail on field notes and data quality

  • Excellent attention to Health and Safety

  • HAZWOPER 40 Training

  • Experience with Industrial and Oil & Gas a plus

  • Experience working on active industrial and petroleum facilities preferred

  • Experience working with and maintaining groundwater and soil vapor remediation systems preferred

  • Any experience operating heavy machinery (forklift, excavator, skid steer, etc.) desirable

  • Metal fabrication skills desirable
