Job Description:
This is an opportunity to join the IDS Finance team as a Financial Analyst supporting both Mission Assurance and Whole Life Engineering.

This role will support both the Mission Assurance organization and the Whole Life Engineering Directorate and their respective Managers and is responsible for the coordination, analysis and reporting of financial related activities.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


  • Partner with the CAM / IPT lead in preparation, analysis, review and approval (white sheet sign off) of all Department level EACs
  • Review and approval (white sheet sign off) of all proposal/bids within the departments
  • Partner with Engineering Overhead group in development, execution and management of the Departments Overhead Budgets
  • Prepare Financial charts to present at all departmental Operation Reviews with Directorate LT.
  • Assist with department Capital planning and execution
  • Manage all required IOT’s (set up, monthly reports, analysis)
  • Work with Business Manager in Staffing reconciliation monthly - Supply vs. Demand Analysis
  • Assist and support the MA/WLED Business Manager as required
  • Provide monthly reporting of Key MA metrics (PRISM and Management Pool Rates, Directorate level financial performance and labor reporting)
  • Resolve labor charging issues and process labor transfers.
  • Drive Manpower planning, supply and demand reporting
  • Support various initiatives to streamline and make more efficient the delivery of business decision support information to the organization
  • Drive Investment business case analysis in the areas of Capital AR’s, overhead investments and R6S project ROI evaluations
  • Finance lead for pricing related activities including BOE development support, MA work instruction updates, bid process improvements and historical data mining
  • Financial control, PO generation support and cost allocation/approval of invoices for 3 Third party source inspection suppliers providing services on IDS programs



Required Skills:
  • A Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field of study
  • 4+ years of relevant professional working experience
  • Understanding financial planning, programs and related principals such as AOP preparation, overhead pooling concepts, proposal pricing approaches/processes and cost allocation processes/methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced work environment
  • Professional experience with the Microsoft Office and APEX SAP suite of Tools
  • Effective communication skills
