Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineer in our Salt Lake City office. Candidate is expected to perform a variety of transportation planning and engineering tasks and be proficient in micro?simulation and Microsoft Office products. Additional experience with travel demand modeling, GIS and databases is preferred. Candidate's work will support transit and roadway design as well as transportation planning efforts.
Additional job responsibilities include:
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for the traffic engineering discipline.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in traffic engineering
Experience in micro?simulation and Microsoft Office products.
Experience with travel demand modeling
GIS and databases experience
