This position can be a Salary Grade G07 or G08 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility for the position.

Position Overview:

The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for all Inventory / Material Movement related activities within a production manufacturing environment in the Space Center. The successful candidate will report to the Production Control Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of multiple Hourly Stockroom employees. The Production Control Supervisor will have accountability to support factory production requirements and incoming / outgoing deliveries. Additionally, the PC Supervisor will be tasked to define clear priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional management to allow for continuous process improvement and corrective action resolutions.

This position involves direct support of Stockroom activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around the factory areas and other managed buildings. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing leadership role.


  • Manage and lead multiple Hourly Stockroom personnel
  • Coordinate on-boarding - Communicate security, safety, reporting location, policies/procedures, and training
  • Approve timecards and manage hourly workforce attendance
  • Daily Factory Leadership interface and interactions
  • Cost / Quality / Schedule performance
  • Safety compliance
  • Communication of Production Control Manager and Leads requirements
  • Interface with other Value Stream Leaders across shifts
  • Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the Production Control workflow
  • Prioritizes project issues and assist in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements
  • Provide the required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training, etc.) to ensure all employees work in a safe working environment
  • Ensure compliance to all pertinent work instructions

  • Maintaining/Reporting Production Control Stores Metrics
  • Managing and Storing Age Dated material and Hazardous Materials
  • Coordination of shipping completed product to appropriate destinations
  • Coordination of kitting of production inventory per MRP
  • Continually look for and implement process improvements
  • General Warehousing responsibilities
  • Responsible of daily “out of scope” activates that involve bargaining unit employees.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field
  • Ten (10) years of creditable professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree completion
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ for Salary Grade G07 and minimum of four (4) years for Salary Grade G08 experience in a fast paced Production environment.

Desired Skills:
  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Experience with SAP systems
  • Active DOD Security Clearance
