AECOM has an immediate opening in our Charlotte, NC office for a Project Manager in our Water Group. Responsibilities of the position includes, but not limited to:
Project management of projects for Water Group, including water and wastewater utility related projects.
Learns and implements AECOM’s project management systems and requirements.
Interacts with Clients to deliver project work and to market for future work.
Evaluates and guides the development of engineering solutions.
Mentors project team staff.
Delivers projects in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
10+ years of experience relevant to municipal or private sector water and wastewater utilities
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Professional Engineer in North Carolina or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months of hire
Proven Project Management experience
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on time and within budget
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of local codes, development processes, and utility regulations
Demonstrated ability to work with clients to provide long-term solutions and maintain/develop strong client relationships
Provide leadership and technical guidance in his/her area of expertise related to water & wastewater utilities
Good understanding of local and regional markets and able to support marketing effort in pursuing work
15+ years of progressive experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure design including process and/or conveyance and pump stations.
Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Experience in preparation of engineering proposals for submission to clients.
