Job Description:

This position is responsible for Operations Management and oversight of a production program in the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center. This role is responsible for the planning and performance. Responsibilities include operations leadership throughout the IPDS program life cycle, developing schedule plans, resource loading, and management of business performance metrics. The position will support the finance organization through the use of Earned Value Management, and is required to lead the Estimate at Completion (EAC) and variance analysis for the respective programs. The position interacts daily with functional resources including production engineering, test engineering, quality engineering, material control, and production control to ensure production requirements are met. Interfaces with Operations Program Managers on execution status, capacity and risks/opportunities.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; with a good working ability within Excel.
  • Must be familiar with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing related documents
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Experience with manufacturing planning/scheduling, and lean manufacturing concepts
  • Project management experience, working experience with AS 9100 quality management systems, and experience in aerospace-related manufacturing environment, is a plus
  • Experienced with the implementation, management, planning, and engineering efforts associated with a manufacturing organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects is a plus
  • The candidate must be able to work easily within a team environment.
  • Prior relevant internship experience is desired.

Required Education (including major): Must have a Master’s Degree with a major in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Math, or other related field by Summer 2020 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
