Provides receptionists services for facilities and the safeguarding of sensitive information IAW local Work Instructions. Answers incoming calls, directs callers to requested persons, takes phone messages and tracks personnel who enter/exit the facility using visitors log.
Controls building access and performs physical security checks as required. Issues badges to cleared contractor employees, Government employees, and to visitors who have a valid Visit Authorization Request (VAR) on file. Cautions visitors against the possession of prohibited materials. Maintains current access roster. Maintains log of all personnel entering or leaving the facilities.
Maintains sentry posts as required. Must be capable of comprehending and implementing instructions concerning the operation of mechanical equipment such as generators, air conditioners, fire protection equipment, and other emergency equipment. May be required to operate motor vehicles in order to patrol assigned areas. May be required to visually check vehicles entering restricted areas.
Performs other routine clerical work such as recording and transmitting messages, providing information to callers, and making appointments.
May assist the Supply technician with inventory and purchasing.
One year of clerical or security experience.
Possess a valid state Driver’s License,
Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
Must possess and maintain an active DoD secret clearance.
Proficient in the use of MS Office products, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
