Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking highly skilled and qualified personnel in support of the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Networks Program (formerly known as PM Warfighter Information Network-Tactical). PM Tactical Networks Program delivers a unified tactical network, enabling cohesive mission command at every stage of the joint operational spectrum -- from home station to early entry, to the furthest edge of the battlefield. The program’s scalable suite of integrated tactical network communication and network/cyber management capabilities support today’s complex joint, coalition and civil missions worldwide. The program office provides an expeditionary, modular “tool kit” of unified satellite and radio network transport capabilities to enable uninterrupted mission command and secure reliable voice, video and data communications.

PM Tactical Network organization consists of Product Office (PdM) Network Modernization (NetMod), PdM Mission Network (MN), PdM Tactical Cyber Network Operations (TCNO), and PdM Satellite Communications. PM Tactical Network also consists of an Operations Branch, Technical, Budget, and Readiness Management Divisions.

These positions are contingent upon successful award of the Project Manager Tactical Network Program.

Positions are available in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Essential Functions :

Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following for each approved labor category:

  • Reviews drawings, documentation and training curricula. Researches databases to determine technical documentation requirements; Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A); training; life-cycle impacts; source issues; and configuration impacts.

  • Performs inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property control in support of various supply activities and/or equipment installations. May assist technicians with equipment installations.

  • Develops, executes, and maintains logistics support plans, training schedules and milestones, training device engineering change proposals, and similar data.

  • May provide technical assessment of training devices and report results to customer.

  • Supports maintenance planning systems and performs maintenance planning tasks.

  • Demonstrates development and application of new systems, processes, or techniques that contribute to the achievement of business area goals.

  • Supports the customer by providing written plans, technical reports, presentations and issue papers.

  • Researches databases to determine technical documentation requirements; RM&A; life-cycle impacts; source issues; and configuration impacts.

  • Identifies specific procedures or processes that could be modified in order to increase efficiencies or quality.

  • Applies knowledge of procedures and systems to a broad range of basic issues. May require knowledge of specialized processes or technical skills.

Minimum Requirements

Required Experience:

Candidates should meet the following requirements in order to be considered:

  • Logistics Technical Specialist, Jr. - High school diploma and at least 1 year of job-related experience.

  • Logistics Technical Specialist, Sr. - High school and at least 5 years of job-related experience.

  • Good communications skills.

  • Ability to operate application software, including word processing and spreadsheet programs..

  • Position may require travel.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required at the time of hire.
