AECOM is currently seeking highly skilled and qualified personnel in support of the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Networks Program (formerly known as PM Warfighter Information Network-Tactical). PM Tactical Networks Program delivers a unified tactical network, enabling cohesive mission command at every stage of the joint operational spectrum -- from home station to early entry, to the furthest edge of the battlefield. The program’s scalable suite of integrated tactical network communication and network/cyber management capabilities support today’s complex joint, coalition and civil missions worldwide. The program office provides an expeditionary, modular “tool kit” of unified satellite and radio network transport capabilities to enable uninterrupted mission command and secure reliable voice, video and data communications.
PM Tactical Network organization consists of Product Office (PdM) Network Modernization (NetMod), PdM Mission Network (MN), PdM Tactical Cyber Network Operations (TCNO), and PdM Satellite Communications. PM Tactical Network also consists of an Operations Branch, Technical, Budget, and Readiness Management Divisions.
Positions are contingent upon successful award of the Project Manager Tactical Network Program.
Positions are available CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Essential Functions :
Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following for each approved labor category:
Performs design development, analysis, and review tasks under some supervision (or independently for more senior roles).
Generates sections (or complete) design specifications of more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projects.
Prepares, delivers and submits technical presentations for in-process design and review meetings.
Develops technical documentation and system/specifications.
Interfaces with customers at all levels: design reviews, technical working groups, and final design and test activities.
Conducts site visits and investigates engineering problems, proposes solutions and alternatives, and provides recommendations.
Verifies and complies with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
Performs a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
Acts as a lead on less complex tasks and is responsible for a portion of a design or section of an analysis or design review.
Coordinates and works closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.
Develops, maintains and produces technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
May train other engineers on technical issues related to the research, design, development, testing and analysis of engineering assignments.
Prepares, delivers and submits technical papers and performs engineering studies.
Senior Engineers may organize and supervise a group of employees for a given project, contract or job, with overall responsibility for cost, schedule, technical and employee performance.
Candidates should meet the following requirements in order to be considered:
Engineer, Jr. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific field, and no job-related experience or 4 years of related experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
Engineer, Mid . - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 5 years of job-related experience or 9 years of related experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
Engineer, Sr. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific field, and at least 7 years of job-related experience or 11 years of related experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
The position may require the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
Position may require travel.
Active DoD Secret Clearance required at the time of hire.
