As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. The selected candidate will be required to secure these accesses. Not being able to secure the Interim Secret Security Clearance needed for this position may result in an offer of employment being rescinded.

Job Description:
Space and Airborne Systems is seeking candidates with a strong background and experience in both engineering development and production support. A strong working knowledge of hardware, electrical design, and computer engineering skills.

Candidates will enjoy using their strong analytical skills, as well as hands-on experience in moving engineering and production hardware. Candidates will employ their written and oral communications skills, working to prepare teams for internal and external compliant audit. Good understanding of SAS Products and Engineering & Operations Labs. Candidates must be comfortable in a multi-tasking environment.

Additional duties include, but not limited to, utilization of internal database system, audits, lean manufacturing, UPS, Security, tracking of equipment inside of labs, AS9100, etc. This individual will be required to be “highly visible” within the customer base, partnering with IPTLs, team leads and Lab Managers to satisfy customer requirements.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in gathering and analyzing data from a variety of sources, extract relevant information and compile in written procedures and specifications.
  • Ability to track spending and cost related to M&TE repairs and compile reports and financial forecasts for tracking to approved budgets
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (i.g., eRooms and development and maintenance of databases for accurate tracking of current repair activities)
  • Ability to compile data, metrics and report it at the executive level
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

Required Education (including major):
Must have a MS / MA with a major in Engineering or other related field by Summer 2020 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
