Are you interested in discovering Artificial Intelligence solutions to real world problems? Come help our diverse team of data scientists and engineers research and develop systems that change the world.

Who we are
Sixty years ago, BBN Technologies (BBN) played a central role in creating ARPANet, the forerunner of the modern Internet. BBN remains the nation's premier research institution for defense-oriented advanced technologies. If the government can't solve a problem, it turns to BBN.

Located in Arlington, VA, our team melds semantic reasoning and machine learning to create transformative analytics systems for government agencies. You will work on a wide variety of computationally intractable, large-scale analysis problems, including logistics, fake news, textual understanding, sensor tracking, causal networks, and space situational awareness.

What you will do
•Be part of a team designing a revolutionary, next-generation logistics prototype targeted for deployment into global enterprise operations
•Research and implement novel machine reasoning and learning algorithms solving complex, open-ended problems of data modeling and extraction, reasoning, and prediction
•Produce sophisticated software in a fast-paced agile environment
•Optimize analytics and data systems for high performance

What you will gain
•Experience solving real world analytics problems at scale
•Exposure to cutting edge software and methods
•Research publications and patents

What you need
