We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Delivery Lead (Senior) to join our team in Alexandria, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

We’re seeking a Delivery Lead that is a business mission expert with comprehensive knowledge of business objectives, requirements, processes, users, and application capabilities. The Delivery Lead is responsible for collaboration and delivery of applications with our designers, developers, engineers, testers, and users in the areas of communications, task order logistics, project and application management, and operations.  The Delivery Lead is responsible for building relationships with CBP stakeholders and users; facilitate high-quality software delivery with Technical Leads and project teams; coordinating release deployments, change management, and defect resolution.

 

Duties include:

 

Delivery Lead collaborates with operations, infrastructure, platform, software, and service support teams to:

 

  • Coordinate deployments and work within multiple maintenance timeframes (scheduled and unscheduled outages)
  • Ensure delivery of agile stories that have a mission first objective (i.e.,  ensure software delivery artifacts are aligned for the mission at hand)
  • Address operational and technical needs of the project with users, stakeholders, and teams across CBP (e.g., TASPD, OIT, NTC, OFO, OBP)
  • Work closely with CBP leadership, managers, and users to outline the basic vision, goals, and requirements for application features.
  • Prioritize the requirements and the backlog. Manage the team’s day-to-day operations to meet those priorities.
  • Perform risk assessment and coordinate a set of possible solutions with the Technical Lead. Monitor contract resources and provide recommendations to optimize service delivery, and reduce operational risk.
  • Engage in typical project management activities and practices (e.g., tracking and reporting progress and burn, serving as the point for all task order communications and logistics related to the project team).

Primary Skillset Needed:

  • Responsible for comprehensive understanding of CBP high-order priorities, and then groom the backlog and juggle the team’s day-to-day operations to meet those priorities.
  • Support Technical Leads on a day-to-day level by coordinating decisions about the application (i.e., investing more time pursing an edge case that happens in few situations vs. a higher priority feature).
  • Coordinate a set of possible solutions with the Technical Lead and present pros and cons for each to CBP.
  • Work with developers on their team to make sound decisions for features and release deployments.
  • Engage in typical project management activities and practices (e.g., tracking and reporting progress and burn, serving as the point for all task order communications and logistics related to the project team).
  • Manage the backlog, act on e-mails as soon as they come in, coordinate change releases and deployments, provide testing oversight, and keep the team running smoothly.
  • Collaborate with our Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure timely and quality service delivery in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Monitor contract resources and provide recommendations to optimize service delivery, and reduce operational risk.

Provide guidance and direction to project teams for contract activities (e.g., security, training, working schedule/hours) in accordance with contract requirements

Requirements

Education:

BS and 10 (+) years of experience or equivalent.

Primary Skillset Needed:

  • Experience in Government area
  • 8-10 years of Project Management experience
  • 2+ years in Agile Development projects. Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to thrive in a busy, deadline driven atmosphere
  • Ability to coordinate an write technical documents

Preferred:

  • 8 -10 years  Government Operations experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification
  • Experience with SQL
