AECOM 's Transportation group in South Florida is seeking a Software Developer to join their team in Miami. Responsibilites of this position include but are not limited to:
Works under direct supervision.
Must have the aptitude and ability to translate existing IT understanding to the company’s model of software development.
Follows documented software development standards and approaches.
Follows the defined visual style of the application.
Develops solutions based upon a defined specification and test plan.
Develops software solutions that operate against relational databases including:
Relational / object mapping
Participates in department code reviews.
Performs unit testing of their work.
Completes work based upon the project schedule.
Works with the quality assurance tester to resolve any problems.
Participates in team design meetings.
Assists in the response to Helpdesk ticket support requests.
Trains, adheres and learns from peers within the organization.
Assigned tasks are of low complexity.
Knows or learns to use the tools required for the job assignment
Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or Associates Degree + 2 years of directly related experience or High School Diploma + 4 years directly related experience.
Familiar with C, C++, and Java programming languages.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office based software with special focus on Excel and Word.
Knowledge of Power BI.
Working knowledge of Operations Task Manager (OTM).
Proficient in Windows, MacOSX and Linux.
Familiar with Intelligent Transportation System devices such CCTV cameras, traffic detectors, and dynamic message signs.
Familiar with Transportation Management Center activities such as operations, express lanes, ramp signaling, operator event grading process.
Working knowledge of SunGuide software.
