Job Summary

AECOM have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Audio Visual & ICT Engineer to join our Consulting and Technology team. The role is ideal for professionals with strong technical backgrounds who are looking for the next step in their career and have an interest in developing detailed design solutions and being responsible for the delivery of a range of exciting Audio Visual and Information Communications Technology; including Security projects. The projects span a diverse range of the construction sector including Defence, Transport, Aviation, Education and Commercial.

In this role some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Working as part of a local and national ICT & security consulting team on a diverse range of projects

  • Designing, developing and analysing AV, VC, PA systems in accordance with Australian and International standards and requirements.

  • Having specialist experience in a number of different AV environments including audio visual systems, video walls, LED screens, control systems, video conferencing, collaboration systems, corporate communications, network products, wireless presentation systems, sound reinforcement systems, PA, digital signage and IPTV.

  • Designing and documenting IT and security systems ranging from structured cabling systems, core networks, IPTel, WLAN, IPTV, audio-visual systems, video conferencing, CCTV and electronic access control systems.

Minimum Requirements

You will have a strong technical background and your attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively will help you to work with the broader team to deliver the right solution, on time, every time. You will contribute to the growth and development of the team by identifying new business opportunities and responding to tender briefs.You will need:

  • Strong relevant experience delivering audio visual and ICT design within a Buildings application

  • The ability to coordinate and liaise effectively with clients and contractors, and experience of construction phase assistance and inspections

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in designing of AV/VC, collaboration and control systems based on Crestron, Extron, AMX, Kramer, Biamp, QSC Q-SYS, Shure, Dante and AVB devices and technologies (highly regarded)

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, DRAFTSIGHT, Bluebeam, Ekahau Site survey, Visio, EASE, and Microsoft Office (highly regarded)

  • A high level of competency in writing Technical Reports

  • Eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance (preferred but not essential)

  • A high level of client focus/relationship management.
