Missile Systems (MS) Contracts has an opening in Albuquerque, NM for a Manager, Program Contracts in the Strategic and Naval Systems (SNS) product line. The successful applicant will be the lead for the Albuquerque (ABQ) contracts team. The ABQ programs are unique and challenging. The individual in this role will be responsible for leading a contracts team who support mobile range and directed energy development and early production contracts. ABQ is a critical component within MS bringing in new development business.
This position has responsibility over business agreements and contracts with the U. S. Government and various industry partners. The successful applicant will be the primary customer interface for business and contracting matters and will be responsible for establishing meaningful and successful relationships with customers while ensuring that proposed and negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies and guidelines.

US Citizenship is required as this position needs an active US Security Clearance within on year after starting.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills

  • 10 years of experience in government contract management, or closely related field
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of 2 yrs of experience
  • Experience in contracting including terms and conditions, financial instruments and import/export regulations including ITAR, Export Agreements and Licensing
  • Previous experience working in a teaming environment internally and with military and industry customers
  • Significant knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), customer budgeting process and the ability to assist senior leaders in achieving both their financial and performance goals and objectives
  • US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:
  • Prior supervisory experience will be considered positively
  • DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance
  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree or MBA
  • Excel in communication both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking and handling several assignments of differing complexities and different customers concurrently
  • Mentoring and coaching experience
