The Material Management Specialist (MMS) will perform duties related to the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory and issue of all material, consumables, expendables, tools and equipment and modification kits required for the Korea Patriot Upgrade Program (KPUP).
The MMS will provide day-to-day execution and oversight of all logistical support tasks for the KPUP. Other specific duties include establishing and maintaining stock records and other documents such as inventory, materiel control, and account and supply reports. The Material Management Specialist establishes and maintains automated and manual accounting records, posts receipts and turn-ins; reviews and verifies quantities received against bills of lading, contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents; unloads, unpacks, visually inspects, counts, segregates, palletizes and stores incoming supplies and equipment; maintains a stock locator system and administers document control procedures; packs, crates, stencils, weighs and bands equipment and supplies for storage or shipment; assembles bins, shelving and other storage aids; and operates material handling equipment (MHE).
The Material Management Specialist will aid in scheduling and conducting inventories of all equipment, kits, and supplies and coordinating with others for the conduct of joint inventories of removed hardware. The MMS will also perform initial setup and facilitation of the in-country work location.
Must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Perform other duties and activities as directed.
This position is located in Korea.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Management or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience.
A graduate of the Unit Supply Specialist (MOS 92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or similar course of instruction or comparable experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with duties involving request, receipt, storage, inventory, issue, and accountability.
Minimum of one (1) year experience with the Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) or similar Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software suite to include set up of job plans, tool storage, consumable & repair part storage, and reporting.
Familiar with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Familiar with requesting and submitting purchase orders.
Must have a current US DoD Secret Clearance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration process.
Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support.
Demonstrated experience with environmental program compliance.
Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
Experience living and working in an overseas location.
Raytheon Six Sigma Certified.
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 4 years of experience, or an Associate degree with 8 years experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
