Job Description:
The Certified Electro-mechanical Technician (CEMT) personnel shall perform all Patriot MEI Organizational Maintenance (OM) tasks required in support of SICO and Training. The CEMT will also assist with modification installation during the Technology Refresh of the existing Korea FUs. These tasks will include Patriot Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services, corrective maintenance to include removal and installation of required Battery Replaceable Units (BRU) and system fault isolation using automatic and semiautomatic program maintenance diagnostics, Built-In-Test equipment (BITE) and external test equipment. Assist in the assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, chassis and personal computer boards. Observes, analyzes and reports test data: and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment. May set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and/or grinders. May coat surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective materials.

Performs a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, production/test environment, and field operations. Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and installs a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical and mechanical, computer, laboratory and/or equipment. Utilizes various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals and other related documentation in the performance of tasks. May be responsible for government and company property tracking and control. Must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Perform other duties and activities as directed.


This position is located in Korea.

Required Skills:

  • Technically qualified in an electronic and/or mechanical atmosphere.
  • Knowledge and experience in the test and repair of major items, assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Demonstrated ability to remove and replace failed assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Use Of cutting, grinding, soldering, welding equipment and metal repairs specializing in alloy metals.
  • Knowledge of static sensitive handling techniques.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Superior time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Credible and trustworthy with absolute integrity.
  • Experience in soldering and wire wrap techniques
  • Experience in the repair of RF cables and Power cables
Must have a current US DoD Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of electronic theory and the ability to trace a problem through numerous circuits and systems.
  • Able to read and follow schematics and flowcharts.
  • 4+ years of experience maintaining/repairing complex military equipment.
  • Familiar in the use of different types of test and measurement equipment.
  • Familiar with set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and/or grinders.
  • Familiar with coating surface of parts, assemblies and finished products with protective materials.
  • Familiar with cable repair and wiring.
  • Able to use a forklift.
  • Experience working on Patriot Major End Items and installing DAMWOs.
  • Knowledge of static sensitive handling techniques.
  • Strong Microsoft software skills and database knowledge.
  • Familiar with set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and/or grinders.
  • Understand Patriot specific Technical Manuals.
  • Understand Patriot specific test equipment and BITE.
  • FOE, FOD, ESD qualified
  • Lock-Out Tag out
  • Rigging and Crane operations


Required Education:
High School or equivalent with 4 years of experience.
