The Diné Facility is a remote location factory structured under the Missile Systems business unit of Missile Systems. The facility manufactures a wide variety of electro-mechanical devices, wiring harnesses, other products, and end item deliverable hardware. Production Control Planning is part of the larger Supply Chain Management function within the facility that controls and manages the flow of materials and products to, within and from the facility.

Each Production Control Planner, as a member of the Supply Chain function, is responsible to plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements. Planners are responsible for depot related issues for Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Company owned hardware either received from production or supported offsite locations. Planners must track material from receipt to delivery shipment. They are responsible for all levels of interface with internal and external customers on warehousing and planning related matters. Planners also assist in alignment of contract bills of material and end item production requirements in the SAP MRP system. Each planner manages the receipt, storage and issue of raw material and components for engineering, production, and depot requirements. Planners manage and coordinate work order releases for production to authorize work and follow work in progress (WIP) through to completion. The Production Control Planner advises management of WIP material availability and identifies any potential production problems. They manage stores and maintain inventory control while coordinating cross functional activity with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, Traffic, and Contract Administration. Planners establish and maintain records along with related metrics and provides relevant information required by leadership to make decisions and manage the business. Planners are responsible for continuous improvement for all material movement activity and material management related processes. Planners provide expertise to scheduling, material purchasing, engineering and manufacturing staff. Planners must be competent to represent the organization as project or process team lead. They must be able to interact with senior Company, customer and supplier representatives as well as other plant visitors as required by leadership. Production Control Planners must identify meaningful objectives that support production and be able to report progress towards those objectives to leadership. Planners must also be able to actively shape and contribute to the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
2 years of proven supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience must include, but not limited to, warehousing, planning, and production processes related to material flow.
Practical application experience in Six Sigma or other continuous improvement process and working familiarity with SAP/APEX or equivalent enterprise resource management system.
Proven understanding of material planning processes and how they work within a manufacturing operation.
Demonstrated previous process improvement project involvement and knowledge of techniques used to improve overall operations performance.
Verifiable experience in monitoring and responding to team metrics, resulting in a path of continual improvement.
Ability to coordinate full-scale inventories and reconciliation projects and ability to understand warehouse versus manufacturing cost-of-goods-issued errors.
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards relating to material management: demonstrable knowledge of industry best practices. This position requires a candidate that can write technical documents and communicate production requirements/status to all levels of the organization in a professional and thorough manner.
Testable computer skills in equipment operating systems, control systems, Enterprise/Material Resource Planning Systems and MS Office Suit.

BS or BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Contract Administration, Finance, Operations, Accounting, or related field.
