The Senior Contracts Negotiator will be responsible for providing Contracts management support for multiple programs within the Advanced Products Center portfolio. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic Contracts Operations team and gain exposure to the business and Contracts organization, collaborate across functions and the enterprise, and interface with all levels of leadership.

The Senior Contracts Negotiator will be responsible for managing of all aspects of the contracting process including proposal preparation, fact finding, negotiation, contract administration, and contract closure. The successful candidate will 1) proactively engage with program teams and customers to ensure program success in meeting requirements (including cost, funding, schedule, and deliverables), and 2) use business acumen and program knowledge to understand program performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. This role requires the skill to recognize contractual issues early in program performance, implement solutions, and carry actions through to completion, while exercising good judgment with minimal supervision.




Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional contracts or related experience
  • Ability to work within an integrated program team and foster trust with external and internal customers
  • Experience and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and equivalent U.S. Government regulations
  • Expertise in change management, requests for equitable adjustments (REAs), engineering change proposals (ECPs), dispute resolution and negotiations,
  • Expertise in various contract types including internal business transactions
  • Experience with non-standard and complex contracting issues
  • Ability to interpret and comply with Company Policies and Procedures
  • Strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
