Electronic Assembler

  • The Electronic Assembler shall construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, wiring hams, cables, etc., in single or production quantities from mechanical drawings. This shall include the testing and verification of the parts against the drawings. The Electronic Assembler will:
  • Works from detail configuration drawings, wire lists, and cable rundown lists for proper inter system equipment connections. Tailors and fabricates cable assemblies as required. Installs cable assemblies using standard written and generally accepted techniques including the provision for cable service loops and for proper cable routing
  • Must be able to assemble parts per drawing packages or thru direction from higher-level technicians or engineers. Must be able to use hand and power tools to perform assembly operations to include wire wrap and terminal connection installation
  • Performs mechanical assembly of equipment and must be able to physically lift or move equipment, sub assemblies and components weighing up to 51 lbs.
  • Uses general-purpose visual and audible testing instruments as well as specialized test sets to verify correctness of work.
  • Assists other higher-level assemblers and engineering personnel in the performance of their work, consistent with own background and training.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Associate‚Äôs degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or military technical training program, or completion of technical institute program. Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
  • Two years of directly related experience as an Electronic Assembler or formal electronics technical training.
  • Must have a Secret clearance or secret clearance eligibility
