The position of Industrial Engineer will analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities
Identify best practices for production equipment performance, ergonomics, maintenance process improvement, cost-benefit analysis, and capacity analysis
Provide oversight and direction of LEAN initiatives, Kaizen and TPM events focused on overall optimization of maintenance practices to positively impact results of the plant
Engineer will train and coach plant maintenance personnel on the use of continuous improvement methodologies including TPM, and 5s activities
Proven success in managing multiple concurrent and complex projects, involving internal and external resources
This position involves significant communication and coordination with multiple stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Finance, EHS and Maintenance)
External interaction will include, however, is not limited to, equipment vendors, part distributors, trainers, etc.
Candidate will collaborate with Maintenance supervisors and leads to improve the existing Preventive Maintenance program.
Candidate will help on the development of preventive maintenance routines
Candidate will help on the development of predictive maintenance routines
May manage small projects independently
Participate in continues improvements projects to support other departments (Production, Facilities, Warehouse)
Prepare and present technical reports to management, both written and oral
This person will have a fundamental understanding of a food manufacturing environment, a technical knowledge of equipment and may develop project management skills that can be applied to small low complexity business initiatives
