Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced

Underground Maintenance Engineer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will provide direct technical support to the Zone Maintenance Manager, for the performance of Mechanical maintenance activities. Specific responsibilities include but not limited to providing direct technical support to the Maintenance Supervisor and Mechanical Craft, provide support for the development of work packages, PM’s, MWO’s. Coordinate with other work groups including QA, Waste Handling, Operations, Engineering, Work Control and Safety.

NWP Salary Grade (28-31)

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years of Underground Mechanical Maintenance. 3 years nuclear experience is required. Post-secondary education related to the job may substitute for up to 50 percent of the nuclear experience requirement. Up to 2 years job-related training may qualify as equivalent to nuclear experience.

  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Experience with computer applications and work control processes is desired.

  • Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.
