IT Security Analyst

This full time position is located in Clearfield, UT and supports the Atmospheric Early Warning System (AEWS) System Program Office. This position is for an IT Security Analyst to assist the Lead IT Security Analyst in the performance of research and development, systems engineering, and assessments on AN/FPS-117 Monopulse Long Range Radars (LRR), part of the Atmospheric Early Warning System (AEWS), to determine RQMSI impacts and identify potential mitigation strategies or solutions.

Candidate will need to assist the Lead IT Security Analyst to accomplish the following:

o Evaluate, test, monitor, and maintain information security policies, procedures and systems such as hardware, firmware, and software.

o Ensure security design, controls, and procedures are aligned with information security standards and are appropriate to mitigate risk of exposure.

o Assist the Division Cybersecurity Working Group to update the customer on AEWS Authority to Operate (ATO) status and current issues relating to Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls.

o Perform research to identify TEMPEST requirements for the processing of classified information in preparation for Mode 5 implementation.

o Travel to remote radar sites and updates radar LRU failure and repair actions in order to track radar LRU reliability and repair metrics, and to project future LRU procurements and repair costs.


o High school diploma with 1 to 3 years relevant experience

o Enrolled in a BS Cybersecurity program and be able to graduate by May 2021

o Ability to obtain CompTIA NET+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Project Management within 6 months of hire.


o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

o Ability to work in a team environment

o Technical experience in IT environment
