Responsibilities

The Artifact Digitization & Tool Integration Lead will assist the CMS (Architecture Team) and Run-Ahead CFPTs to transform the systems engineering and architecture artifact value stream from document driven to a digitally connected data driven value stream in support
of the Program's Agile transition. The Artifact Digitization role will be to create a vision and assist in driving a solution for transforming artifacts from documents and disconnected files to a digital repository promoting early downstream stakeholder exposure and reinforcing single source of truth, configuration management, and change notification. The Tool Integration Lead portion of the role will involve working with teams crossing multiple functions in order to drive data connectivity from architecture-to-requirements-to-test. Within this capacity, as the Tool Integration Lead, a successful candidate will work to understand the data stream, construct an engineering pipeline, establish a rhythm of maintenance, and provide support for tools troubleshooting. The Tools lead will also work with CFPT and FA leadership to develop a tool integration vision and will coordinate and assist in execution of that tools integration vision. As such, the Lead will need to demonstrate an ability to instruct and support systems & test engineers as well as architects in the use and implementation of digitization tools. Additionally, there will be a focus on service-oriented metrics collection to allow for measurement and analysis of data in support of work statusing, indication of work volatility, and establishment of Basis of Estimates.


Required Skills
  • Strong technical skills in the following are required:
  • Experience integrating complex applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms - Ability to develop and maintain analysis tools
  • Ability to assist test analysts with tool troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with relational databases; manipulation of large data sets; spreadsheet analysis, and associated tools, JAVA software, SQL queries
  • Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging and maintaining) to develop data collection and management tools
  • Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development
  • Candidate must have good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment;
  • Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system is a plus.

Experience:
  • The candidate should also have knowledge of ballistic missile defense concepts of operations, and Integrated Missile Defense (IMD) system architectures.
  • Proficiency with UNIX, including shell scripting; Java, C++, JavaScript coding; SQL query development; manipulation of large data sets; use of tools for test analysis automation; use of tools to validate database loads.
  • Excel-based tools (VBA), understanding of relational databases and their development.
  • Must have experience contributing to an experienced team consisting of systems engineers, architects, test engineers, and tools developers.

Other:
  • Position will support near term need to digitize architecture and SE products. Candidate will transition to a development position once PoP is complete. DOD Secret clearance is required to start.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience.
