AECOM is looking for an experienced Environmental Engineering professional in the Orange, CA location who will provide support for the construction, operation and maintenance of multiple environmental remediation systems including vapor extraction, LNAPL recovery, and sparging. Additional responsibilities include assisting with soil, groundwater and vapor sampling at multiple locations in the Los Angeles Basin. Assist geologists and engineers in the field. Serving on project teams(s) under the supervision of Principal Engineer. Interact with an direct subcontractors. Perform troubleshooting of remediation systems and prepare daily paperwork describing field observations and duties. Assist in the design and installation of remediation systems. Perform constructability reviews of designs; conducting calculations checks and peer review of deliverables; planning, preparing, and reviewing technical specifications according to the contract documents.
Successful candidate will have demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to work safely in a team environment under the supervision of engineers and geologists. Overtime work is possible on a weekly basis.
BS Degree with 2 years of relevant industry experience or AA/AS with 4 years of relevant industry experience or diploma/certificate
3-5 years relevant industry experience.
BS Degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills, as well as organizational skills.
Valid California driver's license.
OSHA 40 Hazwoper training preferred
EIT or PE Preferred
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills preferred
Electrical troubleshooting skills preferred
