Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Program Security Officer to join our team in the Chantilly, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a Senior PSO for a compartmented program.
  • Provide oversight and management of customer information, personnel, physical, technical, AIS and operations security programs
  • Advise technical staff on a broad range of program security issues including system threat vulnerability assessments for systems, system security requirements/architectures, and security risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop material accountability and control plans and provide training at the highest security levels
  • Perform all Personnel Security functions for the Program Office
  • Provide classification management to technical staff
  • Perform ISSO duties in support of systems operated, maintained and disposed of IAW ICD 503
  • Conduct on site assessments and inquiries into security and computer related incidents
  • Prepare various security plans and documents, advise and assist in maintaining Security Classification Guides


  • Requires a Bachelor's degree & 15 years + related (intelligence/security environment) experience OR Master's Degree & 10 years of related experience including management experience
  • Prior security experience within the intelligence community is highly desired
  • Must have experience and knowledge of IC and DoD security directives, policies and procedures with specific knowledge of the NISPOM, JAFAN 6/0,6/3, 6/4, 6/9, Intelligence Community Directives and DoD Overprint to the NISPOM Supplement.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with key senior officials of the IC, DoD, the military services and industry partners through effective oral presentations and written communications
  • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve issues and/or solve problems as they arise with a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to travel up to 10 times per year

Security clearance requirements:

An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
