Job Summary

Job Duties

• Performs both routine and non-routine, complex drafting / modeling assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.

• Develops accurate 2D drawings and BIM models, using different platforms, with special focus on bridges and structures.

• Under certain circumstances could act as CAD Manager, in representation of a GDS’ team.

• Works in coordination with other CAD / BIM resources from different GDS offices (Spain, Poland, India, etc.)

• Helps to develop and implement CAD / BIM standards, templates, automation routines, documentation and workflow process standards under supervision of a CAD / BIM Manager.

• Helps with transportation/water and heavy civil design coordination with 3D models, 4D CAD simulations and clash detection tests using various coordination tools such as Navisworks, BIM360, etc.

Specific Skills

• Proven track record of working as a CAD / BIM Modeler for Civil & Infrastructure Projects (Rail, Highways and Water).

• Proficiency in 2D software packages (AutoCAD and MicroStation)

• Strong skills on various related 3D software packages, with special focus on those more related to “volumetric” models (Revit and/or Aecosim)

• Specific skills on bridges and structures modeling (2D/3D) using all or some of the indicated tools Demonstrable experience in the implementation of BIM technology for Bridges (Open Bridge, Revit, etc.).

• Good experience working on collaborative platforms as ProjectWise or BIM360 and interface management (Autodesk Navisworks or Bentley Navigator)

• Medium level in English (oral and written)

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years in civil and infrastructure projects working as drafter / modeler; preferably transportation infrastructure projects (road and rail)

• 4+ working on 3D / BIM modeling

• Previous experience working in Australia and/or US will be considered favorable

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Education as a 2D/3D CAD / BIM Technician or higher equivalent education in the field of civil/structural engineering Works
