AECOM is seeking a Program Manager who will oversee the implementation of Disaster Recovery Programs in our Baton Rouge, LA office, including the oversight of managers and distribution of resources within a specific functional area. The Project Manager should maintain a complete understanding of all applicable CDBG Program policies and requirements.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
Work with the client and the applicant to identify projects that comply with the established categories of work for the program.
Manage major project efforts, requiring complex coordination across multiple systems and processes.
Develop strategies, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute disaster recovery projects.
Monitor and understand the financial performance of the project.
Oversee the implementation of specific parts of the Disaster Recovery project, which may include oversight and distribution of resources within the specific functional area.
Ability to mobilize immediately, to a location determined by the Client.
Ability to manage Task Leaders and organize and prioritize work to ensure that adequate time and attention is devoted to individual tasks while remaining acutely aware of timelines, meeting deadlines, and performance measures.
Advanced time management skills which utilize high-level strategies that aid staff in managing time, productivity, and effectiveness.
Other duties as required.
6+ years of professional level Disaster program management experience
4+ years of hazard mitigation, housing, community development, economic development or related fields
Experience with Residential CDBG Disaster Recovery experience
